WOW 🤩, Kara, I am awed!!

Your art is beautiful!

I can feel it healing.

So glad flowers 💐 give you pleasure.

And your words of wisdom.

Soo true.

The pics making me see 👁️ clearly how small humanity is in mass compared to other life forms are amazing. And humbling.

Oh my Kara!!! Your art is captivating! How do you get the pressed metal effect on the backgrounds? Or is it painted on pressed metal. I absolutely love it!

I love painting gumnuts, flowering and not flowering, but haven't done nearly enough. You have inspired me to give myself more time for it.

I also love the idea that we are only a trace life form on Earth 🤣 . I know we leave a bloody mess wherever we go, but in the whole scheme of the planet, this is why I have never believed Earth is at risk from us...neither is the opposite true...we are not at risk from the Earth. Our only risk is from ourselves, as individuals in our own lives and as a collective humanity.

Hence, why the inspiration to paint more flowers and gumnuts is such a valuable sharing 🙏🏻

I think you make a great point. We are at risk from ourselves... What really is intelligence if we are using it to harm and destroy. Oh i hope you do paint and create beauty. Your photos and posts already represent the beauty within you. Maybe you will share your paintings here.

am intrigued mightily.. such a ‘fascinating & lateral approach..!

.. Yet you leave out marine life ? Inland & Ocean waters ?

thanks for the comment. Plants on the green cube up there represent ALL PLANTS, including those in the waters. There is a cube for Fish, Which I thought meant sea animals generalized. bacteria also represents the ones in the water. I know the graph doesn't state specifics. but good observation! From my research it is the ocean's Plants/algae/plankton that actually provide more of our oxygen than all the trees combined.

As discouraging ‘the current reality is’ - for some strange reason - am believing (or fearing ?) the Magnitude of Climatic Disorder Acceleration will reveal itself in the next 1.5 Years via ‘Undeniable Cascading Events’ ! At which point The ‘Climate Adversarial’ Political & Governance Failures Globally will be ‘swept away’ or so trashed & attacked via Media & Public ‘Court of Opinion’ they’ll be unable to ‘Appear in Public’ much less pretend they were ever ‘Public Servants ..

I did a stack on the incomprehensible nature of human consumption and waste. Shown through the eyes of an artist Chris Jordan, and of course our consumption is only part of the bigger story. GMO'd crops and poisoning of our water, chem trails, mining, fracking, and the government allowance of industrial waste.... and on and on.

WOW. I'm so impressed. I would happily live with them all adorning my walls, Kara. They are really up my alley of beauty flavour! Are you stencilling the gorgeous patterns behind the flowers? or is that wallpaper? or...?

😊💕😘

I create many of my own stencils. Sometimes taking days to cut out from the plastic sheets. I lay them on the canvas and then spread a plaster type medium over the stencils and lift the stencil off. I also use machine made stencils that i purchase. Thank you!

I really love your artwork. So happy to read you do it for yourself then show it to us. Yah!

I don't think we are going to solve our problems. But someone else will. And that's good.

Plants are marvels. So many say they can see God's perfect hand when they look at flowers.

Thank you.

When i look at flowers i certainly find beauty in this world. Thank you for your comment.

Just to say hallo to you....I agree with everything you wrote in text, and I like your paintings....also I like Artemix's and yours comments and this is why I will not write long comment today. Just to say, every time I step in the woods I say: Hallo my Brothers and Sisters. It is unbelievable how people don't know that we are alive because of plants. They don't care at all. I like you work, Karafree. Thank you. God bless you. Greetings from Croatia

Thank you! Alexosijek very much for visiting and your thoughtful comment. And i agree. The For rest... The trees are one of my favorite places. Peace. Yes it is very sad no respect or concern for life in its many forms.

I love your plant art. I also paint.

My favorite in this gallery are many, but the 4th one, the red flower looking at me…. and the last one are the best in terms of vibrational colors. They are really all very nice.

Wow on the gigatons on carbon life…….so we are useless but when it comes to destruction we are horribly insidious.

Yeah... yeah... yeah...

I was all like: I REALLY like the first one...

then I started scrolling, and then I'm like;

I REALLY LIKE THIS ONE... AND THIS ONE.... AND THIS ONE.... AND...

They're all great.

I wouldn't call #7 impasto, but the shadows coming off of what looks like plaster bits really sets it apart. Thoughtful use of mini-3D makes it look like you took a saws-all to some Leonardo fresco when the Vatican wasn't looking.

Great stuff.

How long did it take you to paint the giga cubes?

Expand full comment

All the pieces use my stencils with plaster, all the backgrounds are 3D or highly textured, and most of the plaster (stencil) designs are my own. can take days to cut out the tiny pieces. Thanks Patrick for visiting!

the giga cubes, took millions of years (or so we are told).. but not by my doing!

Expand full comment

Hugely creative. Thanks for sharing the process. In my near andy thrall mind I though you might be painting wet-on-wet for the patterns and then doing a Jackson Pollack from 3 yards away with wet plaster .

I'm glad you got the joke. Most of the time I get a: "Huh?" response.

You are funny as Hell!! well I mean... you make me laugh even when you're pointing out gruesome!

the gig is up!!!

Careful now. I told Fran Zetta that if we were in hell and she's all posturin' and stuffs, dat I be liftin' the tail ob da Debil, kickin' he in he butt and when he toyn arawn I be pointin' at she.

We have to laugh at Old Scratch because it takes away It's power (don't want to mis-gender the devil).

Thank you! For coming by and checking my art out. And noticing the issues. Wow how can this all be so, right? Its astounding... The smartest creatures supposedly on the planet.

Thats cool you paint too. Do you post your work?

Expand full comment

no I do not post work…but, well I have a sachi-art …idle account . I did local galleries here but stopped everything when I got lyme disease. I would like to start painting again…sooner than later.

The avatar is one of my work.

I remember the satchi gallery. I posted there too a while back. I had my work up locally too. But it was the covid days where places closed for a while. So i took what was up home. I still paint but now just when commissioned. I hope you get to sooner! For sure!. What kind of work do you do? What medium?

Expand full comment

well I have been painting since young age, but went through phases like many artists, right? I am that sort of artist who paints for therapy not to sell…I do not think my art is very marketable. I was told that by few art dealers.

I do commission work rarely.

I like acrylic on canvas or any surface. I have used all different media including makeup colors on canvas. :-)

You can still see the work here.

I love you work. Abstract, a lot to contemplate. I have always said i paint for a living.. And i meant by that.. I paint because i need to paint. Not to sell but for the desire to do it. After the covid crap started i stopped painting and started building furniture. I have always liked building with wood. I saw your descrip. A jill of all trades.. I am the same.

Expand full comment

awe man!! Thanks!! I m into furniture repurposing!!!!!!!

Yes the plandemic changed my perspective about a lot of things I think many of us got PTS from it. Surely changed relationships. I painted some transhumanism earlier on….and to see it coming to life in reality was ugly. Maybe that was one of the memories from previous reset???
