That is so beautiful, thank you for sharing your adventures in gorgeous nature. As for the details…. I dunno. I think there is much we do not know about our world and I do not believe in coincidences.
As usual incredible stunning photos. I hope I can join you in one of these nature excursions!! I wonder why your brain saw that face.....it is about contrast field. An optical phenomenon that artists have used a lot. I saw the same face btw.
I'm quite jealous. I've hiked in this part of the world a lot, though not recently, sadly. I love this idea of symmetry, which is everywhere we look (when our eyes are open). Did you ever see the film 'A Beautiful Mind'? The tie scene (with ice cubes in a glass) blew me away. . . I know it will speak to you too. I can tell you're enjoying every moment :-)
Let your feelings instigate a trip back out west!!! my artist eye definitely is clued into balance, and symmetry. I saw A beautiful mind years ago, Russel Crow? Yes, but I do not remember it well.. Was he doing equations in a shed in the woods? Having a whole other life within these equations? I am going to have to find that scene and watch it. Yes. being out in the wilderness makes everything ok in the world, Profound beauty to my eyes, which then translates to my heart!
Yes, Russell Crowe. The scene is early on in the film, when he first arrives at school. It's worth revisiting. . . I hope to head south this winter. Maybe a road trip, some diving in Florida perhaps, or a flight further afield. We'll see :-)
That dot could be a dead pixel on your camera or an odd lens flare. I am not saying it is for certain, it is hard to say without knowing the resolution of the original photo and how much it was blown up. Or, it is something else altogether. The skeptic in me always starts with the most rational explanation, then the cryptozoologist in me says it's a mythical creature ;-)
On another note, wonderful pictures, looks like an amazing place to spend the day hiking.
so, the original photo is at the beginning. This dot does not show up in any other photo, the camera is old, I'll give you that. I like your crypto zoologist explanation.. Imma gonna go with that! LOL.. I can add it to the list of creatures we saw on the hike!
I think it's probably an orange leaf.. but yea, I have never liked caves or crevices... who knows what lurks. Thank you so much!! I have another adventure to post, absolutely beautiful. I hope to get it up soon!
LOL. behold the beauty, even the ugly can't help but see! If we really are in some kind of game.. I suppose it works out that we start out on the same team. Everything is mind, so they say, and that which receives and interprets/perceives this reality is of 2 sides....the split brain, the left and the right
giggles..that word stellar...made me laugh.. but YES! it has been really beautiful.. truly I am looking for the beauty all the time that is this REALITY.
The orange dot could be a leaf but it also could be what you thought it was :)
Love the shots, thank you for sharing!
yes, I think it's a leaf...an aspen, maybe caught in a spider web.
Ooohhh! Gotcha.

Thank you Jenn!
I don't believe in coincidences either!

we human's are good at defining patterns, especially facial patterns. It is very interesting how we can easily recognize a familiar face in a crowd.

Cool!
Before the fire times I loved to be in the mountains, and saw so many mysteries, however I never had a camera.
THX!

THAT is pretty wild. The scenery is breathe taking.
Of course a demon thing would WANT to live there.
I've often wondered, Do angles & demons play on the same team?
