I really do not like the ONENESS concept at all. While I think the Ocean is used as a metaphor for the WHOLE, Ultimately I think of us being unique but contributing to the group, or the all, while remaining individual. The Ocean is a world filled with millions of different life forms, their medium is the salt water, in which they are surrounded, while salt water is inside of us.
Very true. I never associated the sea as oneness in a negative manner. Just as a very diverse place with billions of lifeforms coming from all places. Yes here each is very contribuiting.
I like the way you explained it.
So do become part of the seawater at the end of our journey? Or.....during our journey?
I have been listening to podcast about water. It is a fascinating subject matter. There is a saying that water is life. In a podcast I listened the guest speaker water expert ….lets call him that way…..said that the water we drink is shit. Water in plastic is looses properties. Of course we know how water in plastic is from recycled water and that is why is labeled “purified”.
this book I am reading now by lynn Margulis makes me think that its the BACTERIA in water that is ALL LIFE. It's the bacteria that holds all the information and memory.
We are individuals and we can flow like a river, and yet we are interdependent on each other and on all that lives in Nature..
I do not think of this as a collective or even culture, which are human constructs that some considee necessary. I consider our connections as healthy when we are in harmony with ourselves and with the Earth. Thank you for the poetry and the video of a part of our natural home, Nature.
we are saying the same thing. Collectives that form closed and controlled opinions and perspectives, inhibiting our Nature which is to flow. And yes, while we are individual in experiencing and imaging-in this beautiful vision, we are sharing, yet, so much has been held back from us as far as sharing goes. We are conditioned to see lack, and struggle, instead of to open our minds to creative imagination, which we have been truly endowed.
When I think of Rivers, my thoughts move immediately to the life's work of Viktor Schauberger, the Great Austrian Water Wizard who by studying the motionless movements of Trout in fast moving streams found the key to Nature and our very survival in the Implosion of water created by Trout through their gills, that roll down it's body, keeping it motionless against the powerful current, without wasting energy beating it's tail, like humans do with all of our backwards pressure driven contraptions.
I found that Implosion is the key to the Universe as I studied many years and I discovered the works of Walter Russell, whose Cubic wave field Model of Creation explains everything from the spiraling, electric, geometric crystals of light called the 9 Octaves of electric elements to the spiraling electric Galaxes and everything in between is based on Implosion. Please enjoy the labors of my life for the past 25 years in my playlists below!
I've been thinking of you Calen, and YES, I know how important Victor Schauberger's discoveries are to you, to all of us. I have been looking into his work and I appreciate the links you left. I would love to do more videos, on water...As you might know by now, my favorite place in the world to BE, to come truly alive is in the mountains, among the trees sitting along a river. Maybe we should work together on presenting this knowledge.
I'd never heard of Xavier Rudd and was surprised to discover when I looked him up he's Australian and I see in a photo he's wearing a shirt that says bundarra. Bundarra is a small country town in north-western NSW where I went a couple of times to stay on the farm of family friends but as bundarra on his shirt is spelt with a lowercase b I thought perhaps bundarra is an Aboriginal word that means something ... and sure enough in the language of the Kamilaroi people it means kangaroo. The word kangaroo comes from the Guugu Yimidhirr people of north Queensland. So thanks for teaching me something indirectly about my own country, Kara.
I am so pleased to hear that you Like Xavier Rudd, he is one of my favorite musicians and song writers of ALL. He is also such an amazing and beautiful Human being, his focus on life means the world to me, and how he shares his message for a better world.
This is a small clip of his background
Rudd was born in Jan Juc Moon near Toquay in 1978, one of seven children. He is of Aboriginal, Irish, and Scottish heritage. While in primary school, he learned the circular breathing technique required to play didgeridoo after liberating a vacuum cleaner hose from his mother's machine. While growing up in Torquay and Bell's Beach in Victoria, he also learned to play guitar, clarinet, and saxophone as well as surf. He could never focus on just one instrument; instead he found ways to combine them. He attended St Joseph's College, Geelong for secondary school. Immediately after graduating, he traveled to Fiji. He honed his performing and songwriting skills while busking there for nine months. During his travels, Rudd developed an affinity for Canada, where he enjoys dual citizenship from his first marriage. The first document of his performances, Live in Canada, was recorded in 2001 and helped spread the word. His first studio album, To Let, followed a year later on his own Salt X Records.
Also, he has his own yt channel, where you can find many of his songs. I have so many favorites
I am CURRENTly on the front range in Colorado. These photos and videos were taken on my hike today in Cheyenne Canyon, in Colorado Springs! Thank you so much for coming by!
The Aspens are really turning this week, but, there are very few in the canyon of which my video is focused.
No where else then walking or sitting near river flow watching or listening I find me so close with my self.
so true! same here!
Beautiful imagery!!! We are all our own river!….Do we all meet at sea? :-). Rivers end at sea merging with salt water.
So much symbolism in river water. I feel closer to “sea”, but this write up speaks to me in another manner.

Evolutionarily speaking we are told we all came from the water. Water certainly has been shown to be a carrier of memory and information.

I like where you're going with your Substack!
Thank you James. I do too. There is nothing more beautiful and life fulfilling, then what I experience when I am in Mother Nature.
