very scary... I did not watch the whole thing because it is so horrible. I think there is something to higher vibrating beings... This is what they are after to destroy. It is up to us to not live in fear, knowledge without the fear. Then there is the understanding about reality that we are in a simulation, and nothing is REAL. We are dreaming all this up. So do we have the ability to control the dream... the big question.
Thanks so much for sharing. I love the idea of making a quilt of love and memories. The fabrics are beautiful and the creative process, infused with love and care, shows. It is beautiful, Karafree, and I am sure your daughter will love it. Happy holidays.
I m inspired. I should make one, I always picture in my mind a design pattern but the daunting task of piecing fabric together to be the exact size or match the shapes always kept me away. Very touching write up on family memories. Thank You for sharing....expecially the photos. I love the quilt you made.
I wish you Merry Christmas, to you and your family....be happy, be good, be healthy and be in peace...I wish you much more and all nice from bottom of my heart....Nice to have you back, dear Kara...I salute you from Croatia.
Alexosijek, thank you for the sweet comment, Sending back to you all the blessings, and Peace, Warm Holiday wishes to you and your Family and Beautiful Croatia!!
Karafree, this is a wonderful story. There's the physical quilt that you'll give your daughter, then the spiritual/mental quilt woven by all your memories with her which enwraps you in love.
Thank you so much Rosemary!! Nice to hear you make quilts too!! Yes! definitely a joy to create these! Wishing you a lovely Christmas, and a wonderful times with your loved ones too!!!
Quilt making was of my moms hobbies. She learned from her mom. Over her life she made dozens of quilts. All of the pieces were cut by hand and all of those pieces were stitched together by hand with needle and thread (no sewing machines). The quilting was all done by hand (needle and thread) with the help of her friends during quilting bees.
I have one of her quilts on my bed (a crazy quilt). I keep another one in a cedar chest (an 8th grade shop project). The rest she gave to my brothers and their numerous offspring. My niece inherited a quilt made by my moms great grandmother. It's about 250 years old. Must be worth a small fortune.
I also have a large afghan she made by hand.
She also made most of the clothes for her 5 grandkids.
Hey Kyle, I so appreciate this story of yours and your genuine cherishing of your grandma and mother's talents and works of love. I learned to quilt on my own and started making quilts for gifts in my college days. They were made for wedding gifts and new babies! AND WOW, that you have a quilt 250 years old, incredible... especially knowing that they were done completely by hand, and often with a community of friends and family.. We need those days again!!
The one in this video was machine pieced, but, I cut each piece and I will be doing the quilting part by hand!!!
Watch this. Please share. SPIRITUAL BATTLE is brewing.
