I never heard that rhyme….but I have a different cultural background in that aspect. So understandable. I love all the photos. I was not a fan of the photoshopped ones except the trees and the garden gate. They had a pop art flair and reminded me of whats his name ?…..Pittsburgh native famous pop artist….I cannot recall but you know what I mean.

All your original untouched are beautiful. I guess you guys got a lot of snow I want to say more than us actually.

NOTE* the other rhyme about the thunder beating his wife…..WOW. That alone deserve to be developed in a topic …..lol

Talk about patriarchal society where women are considered not valuable.

I thought very similarly, this is cultural, yes patriarchal and religious programming. Thought manipulation shows up in all forms.. Our art/poems/music express them in profound ways, influencing us.

The snowy scenes are quite magical, but it's great to see some colour this time of year :-)

It's snowing here tonight. Hope to get out on my skis in the morning.

Yes as magical as it is... When i looked at my photos it was shades of grey. Do you have cross country skies? Or both? No hills where I live.. And for the most part no snow anyway. I used to ski at MT Tremblant when I lived in Connecticut.

Both, but I mainly only cross country now. Great exercise, and fast pace when you get the hang of it. Maybe we crossed tracks on the slopes of Tremblant :-) I used to go there quite a bit and stay with a friend (an art collector / client first, from Maryland). She passed a couple of years ago, sadly. Super interesting lady. Her family owned the land that is Tremblant village now. She was a US ambassador for a time, but so down to earth. . . You've got me reminiscing now. . . also loved to ski at Whiteface. I'm going to strap on my skis now :-) Have a great day, D

Love the photos; the artistic impression cheers me up. We are supposed to get some snow tonight, but this is not unusual for Toronto.

Toronto does not really get a lot of snow; it just seems that we do this year with one storm following another.

Beautiful. We got 11 inches of snow here and I also took photos. Too bad SS doesn't let us upload photos in the comments. 💕

I think it works simply for me as I have been given as a gift, my son's old Google Pixel phone. The worst of the worst, I know, but on a very limited income it's all I have.

Those look just about how our place looked. My photos of that event are not on this computer. My old one fried itself and I have to pay a bunch of money to get the files back from it. UGH. After I come up for air I'll see if I can upload.

You are in Georgia? I forget if you shared that info or not. My friend in Williamsville KY (they're almost directly below me if you look at a map)got what amounts to being *hammered* too, but again, nothing like us up here.

Panhandle of Texas. We get a lot of snow actually. 8-10 times per winter...people think Texas is hot all over but we're at 3600 feet and it's different than south Texas...
